Ever since listening to Jesse Williams BET awards speech I have been feeling some typa way lately. I wish I could articulate it in words as to how I feel after listening to that speech. But it woke me up, not that I was sleeping. It gave me wings.
See running a business is not the easiest decisions that I made, but I told myself that I would make it work. I did not care what it took but all I knew was that I would make it work. So after listening to that speech I felt a bit of a push from the back also I was raised to a higher platform of confidence. No it did not take Jesse Williams to tell me that I am magic but rather to remind me that I am magic, as a creative entrepreneur I go through notions of self-doubt, being reminded on some days that I am great gives me a push to continue doing what I am doing. I hope in all that you are doing too, you get a bit of a push from all the people and speeches that you encounter.
It may not be shorts season, but when this outfit was shot the sun was really showing off. You will recall I used to share #denimwednesday outfit posts where I showed you a different way to wear denim. These are my favourite pair of shorts all because I custom made them, it used to be a pair of long leg denims that I bought at a hospice shop. Remember what I said about shopping for vintage? You must always see potential in a vintage item. This outfit is casual cool.
Anyway, I just came to remind you that you are magic, and do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
