THE STATEMENT JACKET

June 6, 2016

Edit 1

One of the most recognised motivational speakers, Jim Rohn, once said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. My understanding of this statement is that in the way that we approach life, the situations we find ourselves in and the decisions we make are partly influenced by the company we keep.

And that is why here at Pigments Studio I have decided to collaborate with people that share the same vision with me, people who understand my ideas and are always willing to share the milestones, like this lovely lady called Lerato Maleswena who took a giant leap to move to Cape Town and learn more about the photography skill, she is constantly refining her skill.

On a sunny afternoon Lerato and I decided to go around town to capture some of my favourite outfits. This here is the first one with this statement jacket which will be available to purchase at my Thrift Pop-Up store coming in September. I really love this statement jacket, it’s lightweight and versatile. I sometimes wear it with my black dress and heels for a more formal look for church, but I chose to wear it casually here.

As we enter a new week, consider these words true, “we are the average of the five people we spend most of our time with”. Take cognisance of the company that you keep, surround yourself with people that inspire you, people who are doing great things and pay attention to where your ambitions lie.

Peace in the middle east!

Hahahaha! Oh Lerato. Thank you so much my angel.
These legs are hereditary. I am such a lazy bum when it comes to body workouts.
But also i owe it to my hockey days.
